O’Connor hasn’t been in the acting game for very long. She made her film debut in 2017 with Wetlands and later appeared in Netflix’s Irreplaceable You in 2018. Most recently, she co-starred in Selah and the Spades, which premiered at Sundance earlier this year. Meanwhile, Kim doesn’t seem to have any acting credits to his name. Despite this, Reitman issued a statement indicating confidence in his and O’Connor’s performing abilities.
“Celeste and Logan are rare talents and we’re all grateful that they’ll be lending their unique voices to GB20,” said Reitman.

Variety’s report notably refers to the upcoming movie as Ghostbusters 2020, but it’s not clear if this will be the final name of the film or a placeholder. As with previous casting announcements, details about O’Connor and Kim’s characters are being kept under wraps. Carrie Coon will star as a single mother with Finn Wolfhard playing her son.
Other new cast members include Paul Rudd and Mckenna Grace. Sigourney Weaver also confirmed that she will reprise her role as Dana Barrett. However, it remains to be seen if the classic team of Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Ernie Hudson will return as well.
