Vin Diesel Reveals Script for Riddick 4: Furya Is Ready

We may be getting closer to see a fourth installment in The Chronicles of Riddick franchise. After years of silence about this project, the face (and voice) of Riddick himself, Vin Diesel, offers good news. Recently, the actor took to his socials to reveal that he has received the script Riddick 4: Furya.

“That’s the birthday present I got that I think you would all appreciate,” Diesel said, while his daughter showed off the script. “The Riddick 4 script. This is exciting.”

It seems that the mastermind behind the Riddick franchise, David Twohy, has just finished writing the story of Riddick 4. Additionally, the script’s cover page featured a catchy quote which could give the fans some insight into the film. “Everyone wants to be a beast until it’s time to do what real beasts do,” it stated.

Diesel and Twohy started their journey together with 2000’s Pitch Black, the movie which introduced Vin Diesel as an action star. Then, the actor reprised the role of monster-killer Richard B. Riddick in 2004’s The Chronicles of Riddick and most recently, 2013’s Riddick. Talks of a fourth film began way back in 2014, with Universal reportedly interested in making another film at that time. From the little we know, the upcoming installment in The Chronicles of Riddick franchise will be an origin story of where Riddick comes from. Additionally, it will probably be R-rated, like its predecessors. No word on when the film could begin production at this point.
