Last year, Killjoys star Hannah John-Kamen entered the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Ava Starr/Ghost in Ant-Man and the Wasp. Because the mid-credits scene teased Avengers: Endgame, it’s easy to forget that Ghost was the reason Scot Lang/Ant-Man went to the Quantum Realm. While it’s unclear if Ghost was among the “dusted,” John-Kamen recently hinted that her character is still out there.
“In the MCU, you have to sign your contract with blood and they stitch your mouth together,” said John-Kamen in an interview with Yahoo Movies UK. “All I can say is that Ghost didn’t die.”
As revealed in Ant-Man and the Wasp, Ava became partially intangible after a lab accident claimed the life of her parents. S.H.I.E.L.D. trained Ava to use her powers as one of their operatives. However, her condition continued to deteriorate and she tried to steal Quantum energy from Janet van Dyne to survive. But in the end, Janet took pity on Ava and willingly shared some of her energy to stabilize her.

Scott’s Quantum Realm mission to “healing particles…for our new Ghost friend” was successful. Unfortunately, Scott then spent the next half decade trapped in the Quantum Realm when the Decimation “blipped” away the Pyms. If Ava’s condition was terminal without the healing particles, her continued survival suggests that she was blipped as well.
However, that’s just speculation until Ghost actually makes her comeback. Thus far, Marvel hasn’t signaled any plans to make another Ant-Man and the Wasp movie.
