Earlier this year, Vin Diesel headlined the live-action adaptation of Valiant Comics’ Bloodshot. However, the film had the grave misfortune of opening days before the COVID-19 pandemic caused the country to shut down. Subsequently, Bloodshot received a fast release via Video on Demand. But now the movie is getting a second chance in theaters.
Via Entertainment Weekly, AMC Theatres’ official Twitter account confirmed Bloodshot’s return to the big screen.

However, it’s unclear how many theaters will actually be open by Bloodshot‘s re-release date on August 20. The pandemic never ended, and many states are still in lockdown.
Diesel stars in the movie as Rex Garrison/Bloodshot, a man who is resurrected with enhanced strength and healing powers. Eiza González also co-stars in the film as Katie/KT, with Sam Heughan as Jimmy Dalton, Toby Kebbell as Martin Axe, and Guy Pearce as Dr. Emil Harting. Additionally, Lamorne Morris, Talulah Riley, Alex Hernandez, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, and Tamer Burjaq appear in co-starring roles.
