Edie Falco has officially landed on Pandora as General Ardmore in the latest photo from the Avatar sequels. Recently, Avatar producer Jon Landau took up to Instagram to share the first look at the character. While it’s safe to assume that the frame is from the upcoming Avatar 2, there is also a slight chance that this might be from Avatar 3, given that both movies are being shot at the same time. The Golden Globe and Emmy winner actress will portray the Commander in charge of the RDA’s interests in the forthcoming films.

The photo also offers a closer look at Kevin Dorman’s character. The actor, normally known for video game voice roles and mo-cap, already appeared in 2009’s sci-fi blockbuster as he was one of the tractor operators. The caption does not reveal too much about the story save for the fact that both Falco’s and Dorman’s characters are on board of a ship. Given that he is now prominent in at least this scene, his character might have gotten a promotion. Perhaps the sequels might even reveal his character’s name, which is still unknown at the moment.
Should everything go according to plans, Avatar 2 will hit theaters on December 16, 2022. The following sequels should debut each every couple of years.
