Venom 2 and Resident Evil Reboot Get New Release Dates

Sony Pictures is shuffling the schedule for its upcoming film slate. While Venom: Let There Be Carnage has already had several different release dates, it now has one more. The new date for the Venom sequel is September 24, just a week after its previous date, September 17. This also gives the film some additional breathing room from Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings on September 3.

Tom Hardy and Michelle Williams are reprising their roles as Eddie Brock/Venom and Anne Weying. Woody Harrelson’s Cletus Kasaday will also be back as he transforms into Carnage. Additionally, Naomie Harris will portray Kasady’s lover, Shriek.

Hannah John-Kamen also stars as Jill Valentine, with Avan Jogia as Leon S. Kennedy, Tom Hopper as Albert Wesker, and Lily Gao as Ada Wong. Additionally, Neal McDonough will appear as William Birkin, with Donal Logue as Chief Brian Irons.
