The Flash Star Sasha Calle Reveals Henry Cavill’s Thoughts on Her Supergirl

The Flash star Sasha Calle has revealed what Henry Cavill thought of her portrayal of Supergirl in the upcoming DC Studios movie.

What did Henry Cavill think of Sasha Calle’s Supergirl?

While speaking with EW, Calle recalled meeting Cavill, who played Clark Kent/Superman in the DC Extended Universe. Calle asked the actor, point blank, if she made him proud with her portrayal of Supergirl. The actor was quite impressed with her performance, describing it as “phenomenal.”

“Yes, I met him. I met him actually after the movie was done, months later. I gave him a big hug,” the actress revealed. “You know, it’s Henry Cavill, man! Our Man of Steel. He is kind and very proper, and it was a great experience … I asked him, ‘Did I make you proud, cuz? Does Superman approve?’ And he was like, ‘Absolutely. You did a phenomenal job.’ I think, to me, that meant the world, because it’s Henry Cavill, Man of Steel.”

DC Studios’ The Flash movie is directed by Andy Muschietti from a screenplay written by Birds of Prey scribe Christina Hodson. It stars Ezra Miller as Flash/Barry Allen, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Maribel Verdú as Nora Allen, Sasha Calle as Supergirl, and Ron Livingston as Henry Allen, along with Keaton and Ben Affleck who will reprise their respective versions of Bruce Wayne/Batman for the film.

“Worlds collide in The Flash when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past,” reads the synopsis. “But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no super heroes to turn to.”

The film is executive produced by Marianne Jenkins, with Michael Disco and Barbara Muschietti serving as producers. It is slated to arrive in theaters on June 16.
