What do we know about Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths?
Originally announced at San Diego Comic-Con 2023, Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths is an adaptation of the infamous comic book series, Crisis on Infinite Earths, by Marv Wolfman and George Pérez that was published in 1985-86 by DC.
In the 12-issue comic series, the villainous Anti-Monitor is unleashed on the multiverse and begins destroying various versions of Earths that come from different realities. A large number of heroes come together in an attempt to defeat the Anti-Monitor. This eventually culminated in an entire reboot of DC’s universe.
Crisis on Infinite Earths was previously adapted in a crossover between The CW’s Arrowverse, which includes the shows Supergirl, Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and Batwoman.
Prior to Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths, DC Studios and Warner Bros. Animation released Justice League: Warworld in July 2023. The synopsis for Justice League: Warworld reads, “After being kidnapped and transported to a strange world, Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman unite to form a resistance and lead the planet to freedom.”
