Warner Bros. and DC Studios have released a new spot for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom that hypes up the DC Extended Universe movie’s visual effects and emotional action sequences.
“I am Aquaman,” Jason Momoa‘s title superhero says at the beginning of the video before going on to highlight the many titles to his name. The 30-second spot continues by spotlighting a trident-wielding fight between Aquaman and Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II), as well as the buddy cop dynamic between the King of Atlantis and his younger half-brother, Orm (Patrick Wilson).

Aquaman 2 is the end of the DCEU
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will serve not only as the hotly-anticipated follow-up to 2018’s Aquaman but also as the 15th and final installment in the DCEU. Picking up several years after the events depicted in the 2018 film, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom follows the titular superhero as he reluctantly teams up with his half-brother Orm to face a stronger Black Manta, who wields the cursed Black Trident.
In addition to Momoa, Wilson, and Abdul-Mateen, the DCEU sequel features the return of Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe, Dolph Lundgren, Temuera Morrison, Nicole Kidman, and Randall Park, reprising their respective roles from the first film as Mera, Nuidis Vulko, King Nereus, Thomas Curry, Atlanna, and Dr. Stephen Shin.
New additions to the franchise include Vincent Regan as King Atlan, Jani Zhao as Stingray, Indya Moore as Karshon, and Pilou Asbæk in an undisclosed role.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom features the return of James Wan and David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick as director and writer, respectively, who conceived the story for the superhero sequel alongside Momoa and Thomas Pa’a Sibbett.
DC fans can currently watch the first Aquaman movie on Max ahead of the sequel’s release in theaters on December 22, 2023.
