Lionsgate has picked a release date for Marcus Nispel’s reimagining of Robert E. Howard’s Conan the Barbarian in 3D a.k.a. Conan 3D, and that date is August 19, 2011, which means it will be facing two other 3D movies, Fright Night 3D and Robert Rodriguez’s Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World. (Final Destination 5 opens in 3D just one week later!)
The film stars relative newcomer Jason Momoa in the title role as the mythical warrior with the cast rounded out by Rachel Nichols, Stephen Lang, Ron Perlman, Said Taghmaoui and Rose McGowan.
