Exclusive: When Quicksilvers Meet?

While talking to Taylor-Johnson about his August 16th release, Kick-Ass 2, he didn’t confirm his casting, but did recognize that it would be an unusual situation should he get the opportunity to bring the character to life while a friend does the same. When asked if he’s talked about that possibility with Peters, Taylor-Johnson recalled, “I bumped into him at Comic Con.” He also admitted, “It’s a weird sort of bizarre connection,” before launching into a brief discussion about Peters’ exit from the Kick-Ass franchise.

Referring to Quicksilver and his sister, Scarlet Witch, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige did tell SuperHeroHype, “There’s a specific arrangement with those two characters that would allow us to use them with ‘Avengers,’ but not discuss or reference their mutant or Magneto-related lineage. They can use them as mutants and as Magneto’s relatives, but cannot have anything to do with ‘The Avengers.'”

Since “Days of Future Past” and “Age of Ultron” will focus on different elements of the character’s life, it could be interesting and perhaps even unifying if there were some sort of collaboration between Peters and Taylor-Johnson, should he eventually go on to lock the role.

Check out the clip of Taylor-Johnson discussing the scenario below and keep an eye out for our full talk with the actor on Kick-Ass 2 coming soon.
