Marvel Studios Adds Yet Another Movie to 2018!

It appears that Marvel Studios was not quite done announcing release dates for its upcoming movies just yet. Last week, the studio added five movies to its slate, and today they have announced that May 4, 2018 will see another entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe!

Sony Pictures had previously scheduled The Amazing Spider-Man 4 for the May 4 date, but with today’s announcement that The Amazing Spider-Man 3 was being pushed back to 2018, that will no longer be the case.

Marvel Studios already had mystery placeholders for films that will be released on July 8, 2016 (following a third Captain America film on May 6, 2016) and then another on May 5, 2017.

Last week, they earmarked July 28, 2017, November 3, 2017, July 6, 2018, November 2, 2018 and May 3, 2019. Which means, that starting in 2017, we’ll be getting three Marvel movies a year! Beyond 2014, this is what you’ve got to look forward to:

May 1, 2015 – Avengers: Age of Ultron

July 17, 2015 – Ant-Man

May 6, 2016 – Captain America 3

July 8, 2016 – Untitled Marvel Studios Film

May 5, 2017 – Untitled Marvel Studios Film

July 28, 2017 – Untitled Marvel Studios Film

November 3, 2017 – Untitled Marvel Studios Film

May 4, 2018 – Untitled Marvel Studios Film

July 6, 2018 – Untitled Marvel Studios Film

November 2, 2018 – Untitled Marvel Studios Film

May 3, 2019 – Untitled Marvel Studios Film

We should learn more about their upcoming films this Saturday at the San Diego Comic-Con, so stay tuned!
