Warning: There are spoilers ahead for Invincible episode 6!
After last week’s installment of Invincible, Mark Grayson should really rethink his codename! Amazon Prime has premiered the sixth episode of Invincible, and we want to know what the Superhero Hype community thinks about it!
At Upstate University, Doug Cheston stumbles out of the bushes and accosts some coeds. But as soon as the young women leave, Doug is kidnapped by cyborgs. Doug awakens in the lab of DA Sinclair, only to find that he is also being turned into a cyborg. At the GDA hospital, Robot insists that the doctors let him lead in Monster Girl’s recovery. A week later, Mark is recovered enough from his injuries to reunite with Amber. His lingering bruises also convince Amber that his cover story about being hit by a bus is true. So she gives him a chance to start over.
Meanwhile, Eve decides to skip college and step back from being a heroine. She leaves home and dedicates herself to using her powers to improve life on the planet for other people. As for Mark, he asks his friend, William, to let him and Amber tag along for his trip to Upstate University. While William reunites with his boyfriend, Rick, Mark and Amber emotionally reconnect. He also expresses a desire to go to college with her there. During a lecture, they see Sinclair for the first time as he challenges the views of his teacher.
Shortly thereafter, Doug escapes from Sinclair’s underground lab and terrorizes the campus. Mark slips away and changes into Invincible, before saving William’s life. William instantly recognizes Mark. When Doug sees what he has become, he commits suicide. Despite Mark’s heroics, Amber assumes that he abandoned them during the fight and breaks up with him.

While Amber goes to a frat party without Mark, Sinclair kidnaps Rick for his experiments. Mark initially brushes off William’s desperate calls for help before witnessing one of Sinclair’s creations kidnapping his friend. In the underground lab, Mark is attacked by several of Sinclair’s cyborgs, including Rick. However, William is able to emotionally reach Rick and give him the strength to turn on Sinclair. GDA director Cecil confiscates the technology, and he also seems intrigued by the way Sinclair’s creations nearly defeated Mark.
Back at the GDA hospital, Robot’s efforts to save Monster Girl are successful. However, Black Samson has noticed Robot’s unusual feelings for Monster Girl. Later, the Mauler Twins observe the body they are growing for Robot and demand more info and payment. They also decide to dig up the corpse of Immortal as insurance against Robot. During Mark’s trip, Debbie takes Nolan’s Omni-Man costume to superhero tailor, Art Rosenbaum. Art confirms that the DNA evidence suggests that Nolan killed the Guardians, but both Art and Debbie are too terrified to share the secret.
Nolan listens to Art and Debbie’s conversation, and approaches Art to ensure that he won’t talk. However, Debbie drunkenly confronts Nolan with the truth when he returns. When she won’t let it go, Nolan shatters a glass, punches a hole in the wall, and sits down in despair.
Invincible‘s first six episodes are on Amazon Prime. The seventh episode will debut on Friday, April 23.
