New MultiVersus Trailer Confirms Next Week’s Beta Access

Gamers are officially one step closer to getting their hands on MultiVersus. The developers at Player First Games previously teased that its upcoming free-to-play crossover title starring every major Warner Bros. character would host its open beta sometime in July. Now, the studio has finally revealed a specific date. In a new video, Player First co-founder Tony Huynh announced that MultiVersus’ open beta will launch on Tuesday, July 26. Warner Bros. also released a new gameplay trailer confirming early access on July 19.

If you’ve ever wanted to see Bugs Bunny fight trade punches with Harley Quinn, then this is definitely the game for you. The latest trailer shows the face of the Looney Tunes franchise teaming up with Batman (once again voiced by Kevin Conroy) against the Joker’s main squeeze, who’s found her own unlikely partner in Cartoon Network’s Steven Universe. However, the game’s playable roster spans countless other WB franchises. Options include Adventure Time’s Finn the Human and Jake the Dog, the Tasmanian Devil, Velma from Scooby-Doo, and The Iron Giant.

Early beta access is reserved for those who participated in the closed alpha, which launched in May. These players will receive a code via e-mail to redeem on their platform of their choice. Fans can also gain early access to the open beta by linking their WB Games and Twitch accounts and watching MultiVersus streams for the chance to win their own access code.

Warner Bros. still hasn’t announced an official release date for MultiVersus. However, Player First will reveal new details about the game at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday, July 22.
