Deadpool & Wolverine were famous for having a hard time working together, even before the movie that teamed them. However, for all their issues, the two Canadian antiheroes do agree on certain things. Chief among them is their love for the daughters who have taken up their names and legacies. They also agree that people who hurt kids deserve to have very bad things happen to them. This common ground unites them and their daughters, for the first time in a new series: Wolverines and Deadpools.

Written by Cody Ziglar with art by Rogê Antônio, Wolverines and Deadpools #1 finds the daddy and daughter duos on the hunt. Someone is kidnapping Mutant children and killing their parents. This is a problem that hits both Logan and Wade Wilson close to home and they’re ready to make it someone else’s problem. Their daughters are of a similar mindset, but will their influence be enough to get their dads to play nice? Or will they have their own personality conflicts?

Deadpool & Wolverine’s daughters explained

The idea that Logan and Wade Wilson have daughters who took up their names may surprise some. Laura Kinney is somewhat well-known, thanks to her role in the film Logan. However, most people don’t know that the former X-23 is now a young adult, who took on the Wolverine codename in the most recent X-Men comics. She and Logan also came to see themselves as father and daughter, after Laura learned she was a test-tube baby rather than a clone of Wolverine.

By contrast, Ellie Camacho, the new Deadpool, is more obscure, even to comic readers. Ellie was first introduced in 2013 as Wade Wilson’s daughter by an old girlfriend. Apart from offering financial support, Wade tried to limit his time with Ellie at first, so she could have a normal life. However, when Ellie discovered that she had inherited her father’s healing factor, she took up his mantle to avenge his death in 2024. After Wade was resurrected, he agreed to take Ellie into the family business and teach her how to fight.
Wolverines and Deadpools #1 arrives in comic shops everywhere on June 2, 2025.
