Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson will also return as Thor and Valkyrie, respectively. The female Thor storyline is based on Jason Aaron’s run on “The Mighty Thor” in which a cancer-stricken Jane Foster takes up the mantle and powers of Thor.
Thor: Ragnarok was a hit with critics and fans alike, taking the franchise in a more overtly comedic direction to the tune of over $854 million worldwide. Even legendary filmmaker Quentin Tarantino recently hailed Ragnarok as “drastically my favorite” MCU movie.

He is also helping Fox develop an animated version of the comic strip Flash Gordon.
