Justice League’s Ray Fisher Says WB Has Launched an Independent Investigation

Ray Fisher’s public spat with Joss Whedon has made plenty of headlines over the last month and a half. None of Fisher’s co-stars have publicly backed up his claims about Whedon’s unprofessional conduct while directing Justice League reshoots. Regardless, Fisher revealed last month that a “process” had begun to better understand what happened during this period. Now, Fisher has shared new info about what this process entails.

Earlier today, Fisher announced on Twitter that WarnerMedia has launched an official investigation into what transpired on the set of Justice League after Whedon took over the project. You can read what he had to say below.

Perhaps the most noteworthy part of Fisher’s announcement is that Warner reps spoke to other cast and crew members before ordering the investigation. However, it’s not clear if the cast members he’s referring to are actors who starred as the team’s other heroes or those who played supporting roles in the film. It’s also interesting to hear that the “uncertainty” over AT&T’s merger with Time Warner may have influenced certain attitudes on set.

Fisher previously claimed that producers Geoff Johns and Jon Berg enabled Whedon’s behavior. Berg has denied the allegations, while Johns and Whedon have yet to respond. More recently, Fisher alleged that Johns “made a thinly-veiled threat to [his] career” after he tried airing his grievances while Justice League was still in production.
