The Masters of the Universe live-action movie has found its He-Man, with Nicholas Galitzine joining the film to play the iconic role.
According to THR, Galitzine will star in the film as Prince Adam of Eternia, who can transform into He-Man thanks to his Power Sword. The project is set to be directed by Travis Knight, with no other casting information available as of yet.
Galitzine most recently played Hayes in 2024’s The Idea of You and has also starred in 2016’s Handsome Devil, 2020’s The Craft: Legacy, 2021’s Cinderella, 2023’s Bottoms, and 2023’s Red, White & Royal Blue.
He additionally played George Villiers in the Mary & George miniseries that premiered on Starz in the United States this past April.
What else do we know about the new Masters of the Universe movie?
“Masters centers on Price Adam of Eternia who, thanks to his Power Sword, turns into He-Man and is embued with superhuman strength and abilities, which he uses to defend his native planet and Castle Grayskull,” The Hollywood Reporter’s description reads.
Masters of the Universe will be written by Chris Butler. Robbie Brenner is producing for Mattel Films, while Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, and Steve Tisch are producing for Escape Artists.
Masters of the Universe releases in United States theaters on June 5, 2026, from Amazon MGM.
