A The Batman theatrical rerelease has been announced, with the hit Matt Reeves film officially coming back to theaters with a special inclusion.
When is The Batman’s theatrical rerelease?
The Batman will make a special return to theaters for one night only, when AMC Theatres will host a special screening of the film on Wednesday, August 28, 2024. The release comes as a celebration of sorts for the upcoming release of The Penguin on HBO.
Sticking to the celebration of The Penguin, in addition to The Batman’s theatrical rerelease, those in attendance will also get an exclusive behind-the-scenes sneak peek at the making of The Penguin.
“More than a year of stalking the streets as the Batman, striking fear into the hearts of criminals, has led Bruce Wayne deep into the shadows of Gotham City. With only a few trusted allies—Alfred, Lt. James Gordon—amongst the city’s corrupt network of officials and high-profile figures, the lone vigilante has established himself as the sole embodiment of vengeance amongst his fellow citizens,” the synopsis for The Batman reads. “When a killer targets Gotham’s elite with a series of sadistic machinations, a trail of cryptic clues sends the World’s Greatest Detective on an investigation into the underworld.”
Starring alongside Pattinson are Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Colin Farrell as Oswald “Oz” Cobblepot/Penguin, Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Paul Dano as Edward Nashton/Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, and Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, and Peter McDonald as William Kenzie, among others.
