Next week, Stargirl will be all about Yolanda Montez. In the promo for the upcoming seventh episode of season 2, the young member of the Justice Society of America is dealing with her past. In the freshman season’s finale, Wildcat not only had to face her boyfriend’s death, but she also had to confront his father, Henry King Sr., the Injustice Society member known as Brainwave. Ultimately, Yolanda killed the villain and avenged the murder of her love interest.
Much to everyone’s surprise, Christopher James Baker’s Brainwave pops up in the freshly-released promo. While it will likely be just an illusion created by Eclipso to mess with the teenager’s head, it appears that Wildcat will have a hard time as the past returns to haunt her. Luckily, her trusted friend Courtney will be there to help her in this moment of distress.

Sheelin Choksey directed the episode written by Robbie Hyne. The official synopsis for “Summer School: Chapter Seven” reads:
“YOLANDA FACES HER PAST – When the guilt over Brainwave’s (guest star Christopher James Baker) death becomes too much to handle, Yolanda (Yvette Monreal) is forced to make a heartbreaking decision. Brec Bassinger, Luke Wilson, Amy Smart, Cameron Gellman, Anjelika Washington, Trae Romano, and Hunter Sansone also star.”
The next episode of Stargirl season 2 premieres on The CW on Sept. 21.
