Marvel’s Blade Concept Art Previews the Paris-Set Vampire Game

Video game developer Arkane Lyon has shared three pieces of official concept art from its upcoming superhero title Marvel’s Blade.

Apart from the announcement trailer unveiled at The Game Awards earlier this month, the new concept art gives audiences their first glimpse at what to expect from Marvel’s Blade. The artwork — which comes from Sergey Kolesov and Jean-Luc Monnet — shows the eponymous half-vampire vampire hunter stalking the streets of Paris.

What is Marvel’s Blade about?

Arkane Lyon — a division of the Bethesda-owned Arkane Studios — is developing Marvel’s Blade in collaboration with Marvel Games. According to Marvel itself, the “mature, single-player, third-person” game will “take players to a quarantined section of Paris in the middle of a supernatural emergency. Vampires have emerged, terrorizing the city of lights and forcing Parisians to shelter inside their homes at night to wait for sunrise.”

Arkane is perhaps best known as the developer behind the Dishonored series of first-person action-adventure games. Under Bethesda, the studio has also developed such first-person shooters as Prey, Wolfenstein: Youngblood, Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot, Deathloop, and Redfall.

Marvel’s Blade is currently in development at Arkane Lyon. The game does not have a release date.
